Stay at Home Moms: Make Money Selling Software Programs

There are millions of mothers who consider becoming stay at home moms. Unfortunately, many of those mothers do not take action. There are a number of different reasons for that, but the most important one is money. For some families, it is just impossible to survive on only one income; however, you do not have to. If you are interested in becoming a stay at home mom, you can do so while generating income at the same time. This can be done by acquiring the resell rights to a software program.

At any given time, there are a number of software developers and designers who are working on creating a new product. Once that product has been created, the selling process should begin. The problem that many software developers and designers face is that they do not know how to go about selling their products. Instead of taking the time to learn how, they rely on someone else to do the selling for them. If you think that this sounds like a commission based program, you are wrong.

Before allowing an individual, someone just like you, to sell their products, most software designers and developers require that their products be purchased. Instead of purchasing the whole product, you are purchasing the right to resell it. After that transaction has occurred, you can do just about whatever you want to the software program. This not only includes selling it, but altering it to become something more. In fact, many stay at home moms, who participate in this type of opportunity, decide to alter the software in some way. Doing so often allows them to claim the program as their own.

To make money from the software program, which you acquired the resell rights to; you will need to start selling that program. This selling is why this is the perfect opporunity for you and other stay at home moms. You can sell your software program at your own pace. In fact, you can do as much work or as little work as you wish. The decision is completely yours to make. However, it is important to remember that the more work you do, the more money you will make.

When it comes to selling private label software, the good news is that you have a number of different selling options. These options may include, but should not be limited to, the creation of a product website, the use of online auction websites, or the use of online classified ads. Like the business opportunity as a whole, these selling methods are ideal for those who are stay at home moms. Many of the above mentioned selling methods do not require a large amount of work. In fact, a few hours a week may be more than an enough time to get your website started, submit online classified ads, or start an auction on an online auction website.

If you are interested in further examining private label resell rights, you are encouraged to do so. There are a number of online resource guides that should be able to offer you assistance. In addition to these guides, you are urged to examine what other software sellers are offering. Doing so may enable you to estimate how much money you can make by reselling a private label software program.

Im a Stay at Home Mom and Im broke. Im pinching pennies left and right and we still arent making ends meet. I need to bring in some money, but I really dont want to go back to work. I have a computer at home. What can I do to make money?
    Signed Broke in Baltimore

    Dear Broke in Baltimore,
Oh, how I love to help Moms make money from home. It sounds like youre open to working on your computer. Lets get you some ideas on doing just that.

First of all, be careful of scams. Anything that sounds too good to be true, is. Stay away from any job that requires money down (the exception to that is Direct Sales, as most kits are bought).

    So, what are your options?

Online store. Do you have a product that you want to sell? Maybe you make bracelets or soap that your neighbors go crazy for? Set up a website and youve got an instant storefront. Websites can be started for a very low price now. Youll need a domain name (your website name), hosting, and some way to design your website. From there, you just need to work getting visitors to your online store to get sales. Its not quite as easy as it sounds, but it is a very viable business option.

Telecommuting. There are businesses that will hire home workers for an hourly rate. These jobs are few and far between, but they are out there. If you want to qualify for a Telecommuting position, youll need to work on your resume and cover letter and interview skills. There is a lot of competition, but you can do it!

Direct Sales. There are literally thousands of Direct Sales companies, offering everything from cosmetics to wine. And, people do make money with these programs. (Of course, there are no guarantees, but there is potential.) Some of these companies even provide their consultants with a website, free of charge. Beware, though, and really research a company before joining. Some are still in the stone ages with their advertising policies and do not allow you to promote your website in any way. So, if you plan to work mostly online, do some research before signing on the dotted line.

Online Assistant: Many moms are making a good living as a Virtual Assistant doing anything from writing articles to advertising for their clients. If you love office work, this is an option you may want to look into.

Once you figure out what interests you, network with other moms who are successful, take online classes, or hire a coach. Invest in yourself and you’ll invest in your business.

Mom, Do You Want To Get Out Of The House And Make Some Money?

Question: Im a stay at home mom and I want to contribute to our income. I dont want an online business, though. I really dont like computers. What can I do?
    Signed, Let me Outta Here!

    Dear Let me Outta Here!
There are just oodles of ways to make money and still have the flexibility to be home when you want to be.

Here are just a few ideas.

Crafts. If you have a craft that you enjoy, soap, jewelry, painting, or anything else crafty, then you have the potential for income. Find out where craft shows are, fairs, bazaars, church events, and reserve a booth. Its an inexpensive way to test out a business idea. All you need is some inventory (which, if you dont sell, you can give as gifts or sell on eBay) and some basic supplies like business cards.

Wedding Photographer. Do you have a talent for photography? You can work for yourself as a wedding photographer. Work only when you want to, and be home with the kids during the week.

Home Daycare. This one can be hit or miss. If you love kids, and youre home all day anyway, then taking in one child during the day or after school can help you to bring in a little cash. Check with the laws in your state, first, though, as they do differ in their requirements.

Face Painter. This job is in high demand. Every carnival, birthday party and church festival needs a face painter. And, if you love kids, this can be a very rewarding way to make some extra money.

House or Office Cleaning. If your schedule allows it, you can book cleaning appointments for regular clients. The hourly rate for housecleaners can be lucrative, and you get a great workout in the process.

As you can see, these are just a few of the ways you can work for yourself. Youll have the flexibility to set your own schedule so you can still attend school plays and be home when you need to be, but you can also help your family by bringing in some money at the same time.

5 Ways Moms Can Make Money With A Home Business

Does the idea of starting your own business from home sound appealing? Has finding the right one stumped you? Do you often think that if you could make money at home you would be one very happy person? Then read on and see how easy it is to make money with a home business.

    Make Money with Your Interests
Everyone is born with a special talent that sets them apart from others. Your job is to figure out what that talent is and find a way to turn it into a business. One lady I profiled in my book, “The Stay-at-Home Mom’s Guide To Making Money” had always liked horses. When she was younger she didn’t have a horse of her own, so she would groom and feed other people’s horses just for the chance to ride. Now that she is an adult, she has turned that interest into a pet sitting business. While she takes care of the smaller critters, she has niched herself in the area of horse care.

    What Are Your Hobbies?
Is your hobby candle making, painting portraits, herb gardening? These are all great home businesses just waiting to happen, and you don’t necessarily have to produce these items to make money. Maybe you could start a newsletter on the subject of your hobby for others just like you. Maybe you could sell supplies to other hobbyists or businesses. Or maybe you could write a book on the subject. Once you start brainstorming you’ll be surprised at all the ideas you will come up with.

One woman I’ve met online is now the owner of her own portrait sketching business. She actually had two other home businesses before she decided that she could make extra money drawing sketches of people. She does incredible work, and when you look at your pictures it’s hard to believe she hasn’t been doing this longer. Sometimes the business for you is right in front of you; it’s just hard to believe that someone would actually pay you to do something that comes so easily and naturally for you.

You’re Producing a Product or Service for Your Friends and Family for Free already.

I talk with moms all the time who say their family or friends are always coming to them because they are great at creating a resume, or because they can really put a nice bouquet of flowers together for special events. These are all great ideas for a home business. Seriously consider charging for these services. Let your family and friends know you are in business. They’ve already used you in the past for these things; they trust your work. They will probably enjoy spreading the word and letting other people know that you are open for business.

Go With What You Already Know A Lot About
Maybe you enjoy your work outside the home but still want to be home with your kids, or want the flexibly and satisfaction of owning your own home business. Use your previous skills to get your business started. Teachers become tutors, secretaries become virtual assistants, graphic artists become — graphic artists. The same can go for architects, photographers, and transcriptionists. You’ll be surprised at the number of jobs you’ve held in the past that could be the key to getting your own home business started now.

Have You Ever Thought, “Why Doesn’t Someone Start A Business Doing?”

Do you see the need for a particular product or service in your community? Are you trying to figure out why someone hasn’t thought of it and started providing it yet? Why can’t that someone be you? There is no reason why you shouldn’t be the one to see a need, fill it, and make money from it.

You have many interests, talents, previous experiences, hobbies, and good ideas that are just waiting to be turned into a money making venture. Why not make this the year your home business dreams come true?
