How To Start Your Own Residential Cleaning Business And Make Extra Money
With rising fuel costs it just seems like everything we buy on a daily basis is going up in price. For some people it’s becoming hard to make ends meet and getting another job on the side to work for eight dollars an hour isnt going to make a huge dent in anyones pocket book. An easy way to make extra income as your own side job or business is to pick up a few cleaning jobs. There are two types of cleaning businesses, residential and commercial. Residential cleaning is becoming a sought after skill and for some a profession. In todays busy world some people don’t have time to clean and end up coming home to a messy house night after night. For some of these people who make a little more, paying you $50 dollars a day to clean their house is a good deal. To clean and organize a home on a cleaning schedule can take as little as 1 to 2 hours after a routine is set up. With just two residential cleaning accounts you could be making an extra $3000 dollars a month for 2 to 4 hours a day of light cleaning and organizing while being your own boss. You can start your own cleaning business for as little as $500 in tools and supplies and permits. There are a few things you need when starting your own cleaning business but following the right steps can save you a lot of hassle latter.
When you first start up a cleaning business you need to create a registered company in your state. Taking in income without paying taxes is illegal and people do get caught every year by cheating the IRS, play by the rules and you’ll come out ahead. When you register your company make sure to list it as an LLC company to protect your current assets. By shielding yourself behind a limited liability company you are in fact protecting yourself from a lawsuit just in case something should happen at your cleaning account. Things that can happen at a cleaning account are you could be blamed if something turns up missing, a fire could start when youre their cleaning or you could just be blamed for something that is not your fault. It costs around $100 to set up an LLC company in most states and its well worth the money should something happen. The next thing you need is to be insured and bonded. Being insured and bonded can protect you from mistakes that you might make like ruining someones counter top, or staining their new hardwood floor by the toilet with an acid bowl cleaner. Call around your local insurance companies and ask for quotes, make sure to let them know you’re shopping around and the best price is needed.
The second thing you’re going to need when starting a cleaning business are clients. Start small and don’t get discouraged, this is the hardest part of starting your cleaning company. A great way to set up your cleaning plan is to make a list of the cleaning chores you do around your own home and type the list up neatly so you can present it to your clients as an ala carte cleaning menu that they can choose cleaning tasks from. Everyone is different and every client will expect extra detail in some cleaning task or another depending on how clean they like their house. Advertising is easier than most people think. The easiest way to advertise is to network and tell others about your cleaning company endeavors. It usually always works out that some body knows someone who is looking for a part time cleaner for their own home. Another good way to advertise is to run a small local ad in a weekly shopper newspaper or have magnetic signs made for your car, this can cost as little as $75 and is well worth the investment. If you have a computer which you should if youre reading this article you can also print up simple flyers and hand them out in a middle to upper class neighbor hood in your town (check with local ordinances on handing out flyers before you do this).
After you have gotten yourself one or two clients its time to set a price. Meet with your clients and present the list of cleaning tasks you are willing to perform. Get a good idea of how large the area is that you are cleaning and how well they want the cleaning task done. Come up with a fair price and write down their cleaning expectations for each cleaning task you are to perform. Some examples of cleaning tasks are cleaning windows, cleaning surface areas, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, cleaning toilets, cleaning bathtubs and showers. Keep it simple to start because you can always add cleaning duties at a later date for an extra fee. Keep a record of their cleaning expectations so you can reference it if they question a duty you are performing.
After youve got your client and your list of cleaning tasks you’ll need some basic cleaning supplies. When running your own small cleaning business keep youre cleaning supplies down to the basics. You’ll probably need a vacuum cleaner, surface cleaners, cleaning towels, a mop, mop bucket, window squeegees and bathroom cleaning chemicals and utensils. Don’t buy more than you need and check your cleaning duties list to see if you really need it. When you first start out buy a run of the mill vacuum cleaner thats not fancy and will get the job done. You don’t need a commercial vacuum at this time because your watching your investment money and a two motor upright vacuum cleaner with all the bells and whistles is just overkill. If you’re unsure of what to buy don’t be afraid to ask. Most cleaning supplies companies and janitorial distributors are more than willing to steer you in the right direction and it’s alright to let them know you’re on a tight budget.
Once you’ve got your cleaning supplies and you’ve set up a schedule with your clients it’s time to go to work. With your first cleaning account you’ll want to do an extra good job. Word can spread fast if you do a good job and more accounts could come your way quickly. The same goes for if you do a bad job, word can spread quickly and you could be out of business before you know it. Be honest and always keep good communication channels open between you and your client. When it’s time to bill your client don’t get fancy, a bill written out on paper is as good as one that has been professionally typed. If you do a great job cleaning your work will speak for itself and who knows you might be able to even quit your day job and work half as much while being your own boss.

If you are a business owner, you understand that every decision you make is a huge one. The wrong decision can mean failure for your business, while the right one can catapult it to the head of the competition. You may not realize it, but choosing a business credit card is just as critical of a decision as any that you will make as a business owner. Therefore, it is important for you to know how to compare business credit cards in order to find the one that is right for you.Credit Limits
The first item to look at when you compare business credit cards is the potential credit limit of the card. Many have a minimum and a maximum potential credit limit. You should have a good idea before researching business credit cards of how much you need the credit limit to be. If the maximum potential credit limit is not enough, then move on to the next credit card. Similarly, if the minimum credit limit is far more than you need, you might also want to pass.
Both extremes are not good for a business. A credit card that does not give you a high enough limit will force you to use more than one business credit card, which makes keeping track of expenses far more difficult and confusing. At the same time, having too much credit makes it easier to spend beyond your means, potentially bankrupting your business. Think smart when getting a business credit card and find one that offers a credit limit that is best for your business.
Interest Rates
When you compare business credit cards, you absolutely must consider interest rates. More than likely, you will not be able to pay the balance off in full each month. This is common with a business, particularly one that is just starting out, because money is tied up in the business and unavailable for paying the balance off each month. Therefore, you need to find the business credit card with the lowest interest rate in order to save your business money. Obviously, if you business is financially stable enough to pay the bill at the end of each month, you don’t need to concern yourself with the interest rate. The key is to assess your business situation openly and honestly in order to determine if you will carry a balance or not.
Rewards Programs
Many business credit cards offer special rewards programs. With these programs, you may be able to receive free or reduced goods and services, such as airline travel or office supplies. At the same time, business credit cards with reward programs tend to have higher interest rats. Therefore, it might be best for you to pass on one of these cards if you intend to carry a balance on your card from one billing cycle to the next. When you compare business credit cards, be sure to compare the interest rate to the benefits supplied by the rewards program in order to determine if the payout is worth the pay-in.
Additional Benefits
Business credit cards, like regular credit cards, can have a number of additional benefits associated with them, such as travel insurance, extended warranties, and purchase protection. The exact benefits, however, vary from card to card. Even cards issued by the same lender do not necessarily have the same benefits. When you compare business credit cards, consider these benefits carefully and find out as much as possible about these benefits. For example, learning that two business cards each offer travel insurance is not enough. Find out how much travel insurance is supplied. One may only offer $100,000 while the other offers $1,000,000. If that $1,000,000 travel insurance is important to your business, then that card may be the best choice for you. On the other hand, if you only need $100,000 in insurance, the $1,000,000 may not be so impressive.

Making money is what controls most peoples lives. Everyone wants to have money. More so than that, you simply need a lot of money to get along in the world today. When it comes right down to it, it is harder and harder to live on minimum wage. With the kind of lifestyle that minimum wage can bring, most people arent content. Making money is usually the reason a person has to struggle to get by. It is always important to make money.
What we do in order to make money can also be an issue. A great idea is to run your own online business. Just imagine logging in online and taking care of what needs to be done. You could get rid of your office clothes and your commute. You could simply go to work each day at home. You could be there when your kids get home from school and you could be there to get the mail. Many people dream of having their own online business. They could live their lives and they could work from home. But is it possible for them to make money?
An online business is simply a business. You have to understand that before you can answer yes or no. Some online businesses do well and some don’t. You need to realize that fact if you are wondering whether you can make money from an online business. There is no magical answer. It all depends on the business. You have to be willing to run the business and you have to be willing to work hard. A business is a business, whether it is online or not.
There are online businesses that fail and there are online businesses that do very well. Both of these exist, exactly the same way that businesses exist in the non online-sector. So is there a trick? No, there is no real trick to making sure that your business online is one that is going to do well. The factors that are important in the online world are going to be just the same as those of a regular business. You have to be offering something that other people are going to want to purchase from you. And you have to have a solid business plan. First, you have to work your hardest to get your business off the ground. Then you have to continue to work hard in order to keep it that way.

It is professionally designed and pre-built with proven income producing capabilities. It is fully automated so that you can just begin promoting your site for unlimited profit potential.
If your goal is to earn a full-time income or just supplement your current income, a turnkey website business might just be right for you.
Think of it this way. If the turnkey website business you are considering has worked in getting you interested and you in turn sign up it has probably worked in getting others to do the same. Since the website has a proven track record, there is no need to re-invent the wheel.
You may be thinking that if many people have the same website, how can you possibly make money from yours. You just need to look at it from a different angle. The more times people see it, the more trusted it becomes. Look at the many McDonalds or Starbucks around you. Have multiple locations decreased their credibility? Of course, not!

6. Pre-loaded with the ability to sell products or services that you did not personally make or provide. Instead you would just promote these products and services and you get paid for doing so.
7. Readily available training and support to help you succeed.
Just be realistic about the website business you decide on. If you plan on making money you must treat it like any other business and build it from the ground up. Put the time and effort that you saved by using a turnkey website business into the advertising and promotion of your website.

5 Ways Moms Can Make Money With A Home Business
Does the idea of starting your own business from home sound appealing? Has finding the right one stumped you? Do you often think that if you could make money at home you would be one very happy person? Then read on and see how easy it is to make money with a home business.
Make Money with Your Interests
Everyone is born with a special talent that sets them apart from others. Your job is to figure out what that talent is and find a way to turn it into a business. One lady I profiled in my book, “The Stay-at-Home Mom’s Guide To Making Money” had always liked horses. When she was younger she didn’t have a horse of her own, so she would groom and feed other people’s horses just for the chance to ride. Now that she is an adult, she has turned that interest into a pet sitting business. While she takes care of the smaller critters, she has niched herself in the area of horse care. What Are Your Hobbies?
Is your hobby candle making, painting portraits, herb gardening? These are all great home businesses just waiting to happen, and you don’t necessarily have to produce these items to make money. Maybe you could start a newsletter on the subject of your hobby for others just like you. Maybe you could sell supplies to other hobbyists or businesses. Or maybe you could write a book on the subject. Once you start brainstorming you’ll be surprised at all the ideas you will come up with. One woman I’ve met online is now the owner of her own portrait sketching business. She actually had two other home businesses before she decided that she could make extra money drawing sketches of people. She does incredible work, and when you look at your pictures it’s hard to believe she hasn’t been doing this longer. Sometimes the business for you is right in front of you; it’s just hard to believe that someone would actually pay you to do something that comes so easily and naturally for you.
You’re Producing a Product or Service for Your Friends and Family for Free already.
I talk with moms all the time who say their family or friends are always coming to them because they are great at creating a resume, or because they can really put a nice bouquet of flowers together for special events. These are all great ideas for a home business. Seriously consider charging for these services. Let your family and friends know you are in business. They’ve already used you in the past for these things; they trust your work. They will probably enjoy spreading the word and letting other people know that you are open for business.
Go With What You Already Know A Lot About
Maybe you enjoy your work outside the home but still want to be home with your kids, or want the flexibly and satisfaction of owning your own home business. Use your previous skills to get your business started. Teachers become tutors, secretaries become virtual assistants, graphic artists become — graphic artists. The same can go for architects, photographers, and transcriptionists. You’ll be surprised at the number of jobs you’ve held in the past that could be the key to getting your own home business started now.Have You Ever Thought, “Why Doesn’t Someone Start A Business Doing?”
Do you see the need for a particular product or service in your community? Are you trying to figure out why someone hasn’t thought of it and started providing it yet? Why can’t that someone be you? There is no reason why you shouldn’t be the one to see a need, fill it, and make money from it.
You have many interests, talents, previous experiences, hobbies, and good ideas that are just waiting to be turned into a money making venture. Why not make this the year your home business dreams come true?

3 Easy Ways To Make More Money This Year
Filed under Make MoneyNov 3Successful business owners all have one thing in common, they are never satisfied with sales levels. Whether you are making $10,000 a year or $1 million a year, there is always a possibility for growth.
Growth only comes when you realize it can happen. You will not grow if you are content or can’t see the future possibilities for growth.
Here are three easy ways that you can transform your business from the level it is at, into a profit making machine.
1. Always track statistics
This may seem obvious, but most people never do it. You should always track and gather as much information as possible. Track walk in customers, track purchases, evaulate marketing, monitor amount of purchases, frequent vistiors, non-buying prospects, etc.
With this knowledge you will be more informed as to how you marketing dollars are doing and where you can increase production.
2. Find people you can trust
For my websites I have one person that writes nearly full time for me. I can send her topics for articles or websites, and she does the research and writes well thought out articles. I can pay her in advance and know that she is going to be there when I need writing at the last minute.
You definitely need people you can trust as well. These people may be your managers, family members, or just friends who can help in a pinch.
3. Develop your passion
Sometimes I need to take a drive through the country to remember why I love what I am doing. It is easy to get caught up in the fray of customer service and deadlines, but for me the most productive time is always when I am out of my business element. Use this time away to revive your passion.
Next time you are thinking that it is not possible for your business to make money, remember and put these 3 easy tips into practice!
